Saab Automobile is looking to China for a financial lifeline after efforts to save the struggling Swedish carmaker hit a fresh stumbling block.
The company, bought by Spyker Cars of the Netherlands from General Motors last year, said it was in talks with “various Chinese car manufacturers” about potential partnerships.
Saab’s future has been thrown into fresh doubt this month after some of its suppliers halted deliveries because of unpaid bills, forcing an indefinite production stoppage that is entering its third week.
